Original sign that was there when I was clamped and the new sign which has now been put up...spot the difference!

Five weeks after I took the original photos, this sign has now been changed from one that said "Private Road No Unauthorised Parking" to one that now says "Private Road Clamping in Operation"

This is a picture of one of the five small signs. These each measure 295mm by 210mm and the bottom of them are approximately 2 metres (6.5 feet) from the ground. The text is small enough that unless you have 20/20 vision, you have to actually walk right up to the sign to read it and look up very high.

This is a picture of one of the two large signs. These each measure 600mm by 450mm and the bottom of them are approximately 2 metres (6.5 feet) from the ground. One is positioned at the beginning of the road entrance (very poorly as shown in the first photos) and the second is in the turning area at the other end of the road (won't be seen unless you actually drive right to the end of the road).

The fifth small sign is shown on the left with another large sign in the turning area at the end of the road. Unless you actually drive down to this turning area then you won't see either of these signs at all.

The yellow circle indicates the location where the clamped car was parked. On the right hand side of the road in the distance is the fourth small sign again camouflaged against it's background so very difficult to spot from the parking location. This sign is approximately 40 metres from the third sign.

The yellow circle indicates the location where the clamped car was parked. Note that from this position the third sign is completely hidden from view behind the tree.

Note that the location of the third small sign is placed directly next to a tree and is actually gets hidden from view behind the tree if you continue along the road (to the right). Notice how small and camoufaged the sign is against it's surroungs making it difficult to notice it as being a warning sign for motorists.

After turning right into Park Road, this is the location of the first clamping sign which is small and green in colour making it hard to see against the surroundings.

Aproaching the signs to the road, you need to navigate through a narrow lane with parked cars on either side. This distraction along with the "camouflaged" green coloured sign means that it is very easy to miss. If a large vehicle was parked where the white car is (circled in yellow) then the sign would be almost completely obscured.

When stopped at the junction note that the clamping sign can no longer be seen as it's behind the driver.

Note that the location of this sign is a long way back from the "STOP" line of the junction.

Approaching the junction, 2 signs are present. The white sign on the left has been there for over 10 years. The "camouflaged" green clampers sign on the right has only been there since September 2008.
